West Bay

These photographs are from today's visit to West Bay, a small seaside town in Dorset probably best known now for being one of Broadchurch's key filming locations. It's a lovely little coastal town with impressive jurassic cliffs and an alarming number of fish and chip stalls!

Time to leave the woods

I think this is going to be the last of my shoots with a very natural background for a while, as much as I love it, for my next shoot I will be shooting in town and getting some more urban/city shots....

These photographs feature Gabriella Drake...

We found Wonderland...

One of the prettiest places on Exeter Uni's Streatham Campus has to be Reed Hall, the location for the photographs I took of Clara last Sunday. Whilst I loved working with the photographs and creating double exposures, there was something gorgeous about the colours captured in the fading light and these photographs show off the gorgeous location. So here are a few more shots of Clara...

Not So Distressed Damsel

I love how the very Gothic tropes of a ruined castle as the backdrop and a beautiful girl in a virginial cream dress completely contrast with the atmosphere created in these photographs. Lydia is in no way portraying a damsel in distress...and it shows.

Clara

Some double exposure photographs are from Sunday's shoot with model Clara George...

I always love the surreal effect created by contrasting two different photographs to create a double exposure and the uniqueness of the resulting photograph. These are no exception, experimenting with different photographs in Photoshop until I found the two that merged perfectly was tricky but good fun. Amazingly the shoot itself was almost warm, and great fun with some gorgeous sunshine light, something that tends to be hard to find in February.

Princes wait there in the world...

So here is the next selection of photographs from Saturday's shoot...these are of Lydia Cooke.

If I had to choose just one thing that makes the photographs the way they are, I would have to say it's her amazing hair! So much volume and texture, makes my fine frizzy hair feel very jealous...

Feminine Elegance

Stunning models and an amazing location made today's shoot simply perfect. Whilst some warmth would have been lovely, it is February! Sometimes there is nothing more beautiful than the understated elegance of long delicate dresses like these and I love the way these photographs came out.

These are just a few of the photographs from the shoot, I'll be posting lots more over the next few days but with another shoot planned tomorrow, things might be a little slow!

Urban Fashion Final Photos!

These are the final photographs from the Urban Fashion Shoot. It was a great shoot and I enjoyed working with FashionSoc and a make-up artist for the first time. This shoot was hopefully just the beginning of a series of fashion shoots in which I want to further develop my style.

These photographs are of Alexandra Wright...
